Summary: This course provides an introduction to Microsoft Project . The course will identify and describe the component features that make up Microsoft Project and introduce you to working with them.

Pre-requisites: All attendees to the Microsoft Project course must be proficient with basic Mouse, Keyboard and Windows skills. If you are new to Microsoft products, Project in particular,  we suggest that you spend a little time looking over the basic toolbar and menu options.

Duration: 1-Day

Start & Finish Times: 10am to 5pm

Objectives: This hands-on course will enable participants to identify and describe the component features that collectively make up MS Project . Participants will be taught how to practically use MS Project to plan, update and monitor the progression of projects.

Who should attend: This one-day course is designed for busy people who need to know how to get the best from MS Project from the outset. The course moves swiftly through the very basics and progresses to teach the user how to build and implement a project using MS Project as the tool.

Creating a New Plan: File Properties and Project Information Dialogues. Defining Check Point Milestones. Outlining and Entering Task Notes. Use of AutoFilter. Task Splitting.

Relationships: What are relationships in Project ? What are Lags and Leads and how do they affect your Project?

Scheduling with Dates: Quick Scheduling. Entering Task Duration. Entering "Date Constraints".

Printing Charts & Reports: Using the "Page Set-up" Options. Reports Gallery. Printing Task Notes.

Resource Management Concepts: Assigning Resources. Resource Aggregation. Resource Scheduling.
